Plot Overview
Casey Newton (Britt Robertson), an optimistic and scientifically gifted teenager, touches a mysterious futuristic lapel pin that temporarily transports her vision to “Tomorrowland”—a glowing, hyper-advanced utopian metropolis existing in another dimension.
Determined to find her way to this miraculous world, Casey’s quest leads her to Athena (Raffey Cassidy), a recruiting audio-animatronic, and Frank Walker (George Clooney), a disillusioned, recluse former boy-genius inventor who was exiled from Tomorrowland decades earlier.
Together, the trio embarks on a high-stakes journey across space and time. They discover that Tomorrowland’s ruler, David Nix (Hugh Laurie), has built a tachyonic machine broadcasting apocalyptic predictions to Earth, unintentionally causing humanity to accept its own inevitable doom. Casey and Frank must confront Nix, destroy the machine, and reignite human optimism before time runs out for both worlds.
