Plot Overview
After serving 15 years in prison for a $15 million diamond heist, an unnamed ex-con (Antony Starr) travels to the small rural town of Banshee, Pennsylvania, searching for his former lover and accomplice, Anastasia (Ivana Miličević). He discovers she has built a quiet life under the alias Carrie Hopewell, married to the local district attorney with two children.
When the real incoming lawman Lucas Hood is killed in a bar fight shortly after arriving in town, the ex-con assumes his identity with the help of his brilliant hacker ally Job (Hoon Lee) and retired boxer Sugar Bates (Frankie Faison).
Operating as Sheriff Lucas Hood, he imposes his own brutal, rule-breaking brand of vigilante justice on Banshee. While trying to keep his true identity secret from his deputy officers, he contends with Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen)—an ex-Amish crime lord controlling the town—and fights off hitmen sent by Mr. Rabbit (Ben Cross), the vengeful Ukrainian mob boss he betrayed years earlier.
