Plot Overview
Mia (Virginia Gardner) is a spirited 18-year-old orphan raised in foster care who suffers from a critical genetic heart defect. Knowing her time may be limited, she sets out to track down her biological birth mother in Spain.
Before leaving, Mia meets Kyle (Alex Aiono), a grief-stricken teenager wrestling with severe depression and survivor’s guilt following a tragic car accident that killed his best friend. Recognizing his inner turmoil, Mia convinces Kyle to join her on a road trip through Spain.
As they travel across picturesque Spanish towns and historic landmarks, their initial friction blossoms into a deep emotional bond. Through their shared journey, Mia teaches Kyle how to love life again, while Kyle helps Mia face the uncertainty of her medical future and her search for belonging.
