Plot Overview

In the quiet, picturesque Pacific Northwest logging town of Twin Peaks, Washington, the body of high school homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee) is discovered washed ashore, wrapped in plastic.

Eccentric FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) is assigned to investigate the murder alongside local Sheriff Harry S. Truman (Michael Ontkean). As Cooper delves into the investigation, he discovers that Laura lived a secret double life plagued by addiction, abuse, and prostitution—and that nearly every resident in town harbors dark secrets beneath their quirky exteriors.

Cooper’s investigation quickly moves beyond traditional detective work into the realm of surrealism and supernatural terror as he encounters dreams, mysterious entities, and the ominous dimensional gateway hidden deep within the woods known as The Black Lodge.
