Plot Overview
Told through the perspective and interviews of Kathy (Jodie Comer), a strong-willed Midwestern woman, the film chronicles the rise and transformation of the Vandals MC, a Midwestern motorcycle club founded in 1960s Chicago.
The club is established by Johnny (Tom Hardy), a family man inspired by Marlon Brando’s The Wild One, who seeks a community of outsiders bound by loyalty and a love of riding. Kathy falls head-over-heels for Benny (Austin Butler), the club’s most charismatic, reckless, and fiercely independent rider who serves as Johnny’s protégé.
As the 1960s progress, the club evolves from a local haven for motorcycle enthusiasts into a dangerous, violent criminal syndicate as younger, more ruthless members join. Caught in a tug-of-war for Benny’s soul and future, Kathy demands he leave the gang behind, while Johnny pressures him to step up as the next leader of the Vandals.
